D-due In Blue is one of the two “root” lines of the D-due brand, developed as an exploration of colour as both material and language.

Within the Galician context, blue emerges from the landscape itself, from the bright, deep Atlantic to the dense, grey tones of the inland sky, forming a chromatic field that is not fixed but constantly shifting. Rather than referring to a specific image, this project operates through a sustained study of variation, where colour unfolds through density, light, and surface, and where blue becomes a system rather than a tone.

The relationship between linen and painting establishes a shared ground between disciplines, not as analogy but as practice, where the handling of fabric parallels the gestures of pictorial work. In this context, linen acts as both support and structure, enabling a dialogue in which textile and visual languages inform one another.

The cultivation of linen, once embedded in Galician agricultural tradition and later abandoned, is reconsidered here as part of a broader reflection on material, territory, and continuity, introducing questions of sustainability and ecosystem stewardship.

Blue, in this sense, is not treated as representation but as a perceptual field, a way of holding the oceanic space and the sky within memory. The project develops through the interrelation of tones, shades, and nuances, linking material and environment through a continuous process of transformation.
