The creation of a digital platform to express the ideas of the designers is the main goal of Inkreate. D-due is one of the partners of this innovative European programme.
Inkcreate – Transfer the real 3D world to interactive creative endeavours in apparel industry, is an initiative coordinated by the Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
The main purpose of InKreate is to facilitate the design and the decision-making through the creation of a digital platform that enables the expression of designers’ ideas.
Its main goals are to leverage low cost body scanning technology available on everyday devices, create libraries of statistical avatars of a target population and reduce the period for designing collections with a new 3D Sketch tool.
D-due, with more than 40 years of experience in the textile industry, is one of the partners of the programme. Our role is to test the platform, as well as suggest improvements from the perspective of a fashion company.
InKreat has also joined forces with Katty Fashion, P&R Texteis, Titera and Body2Garment.
Soon we will give you more details about this innovative programme’s progress, as well as about the workshops and conferences we have given within the framework of this collaboration.
