Issue #1: The Making Of

Come and join us at the beach. It’s not just a beautiful place: it’s full of history. This is where we shot the photos for Issue #1.

You already know the story about the boats and how they influenced D-due. The shipyard of the Froján family stood just 400 metres from this little beach in the Arousa estuary. This is where wooden boats were crafted with the greatest care and precision. A tradition that has left its mark on the garments made by the company, in the form of exquisitely cut patterns and magnificent tailoring.

The same beach was the playground for Rosario Froján, the Creative Director of D-due, and her brother Jose, as it was the closest to their parents’ tailoring factory, where D-due would be born. They would spend their days on the beach, calculating when the tide would come in and they could finally enjoy a refreshing swim.

This hidden place, full of summer memories, was chosen for the photo session for ISSUE #1.
